If there are more people at home, and especially if there are more children at home more of the time, it is really important that you ensure there is a quiet place for your dog to catch up on their daytime naps. This could mean moving their bed/crate to a quieter place in the house and letting family members know how important it is for their dog to get some shut-eye, because lack of rest can impact health and behaviour. Many dogs find the unpredictability, movement & noise of children stressful. A child may also be unable to read the body language a dog is giving to say they are uncomfortable with a situation. Do not leave young children unsupervised with your dog. Keep the whole family safe at home & allow your dog to snooze!
